Sliding Banner

Hi, I'm fairly new to the BigTree CMS and was wondering what the best way is to handle a sliding banner. Essentially it's a large banner that'll appear on the top of pages and consist of a title, image, optional link and optional summary. Each page setup (providing it's using the correct template) will have 0 to many banners. I've been looking at the "Media Gallery Field Type" extension which seems to have the fields i require, however is there a better approach?

It depends on how you plan to use the banners. If the same banner is going to appear on more than one page then it makes sense to create a module with different fields for each portion of your data. If the banners are specific to each page then it makes sense to add a Banners field to the page template and use the Media Gallery field type to add the additional data for each of your banner images.
